The publication entitled "Lives of the Pskov-Pechory Fathers"provides description the lives of the Pskovo-Pechersky Monastery fathers and brethern of the 20th century. These include: Metropolitan Benjamin (Fedchenkov), Archimandrite Alipius (Voronov), Archimandrite Nathaniel (Pospelov), Archimandrite John (Krestiankin), and others. They have come close to holiness and close to us in terms of life period so that we could follow them taking their monastic virtues as an example. In our time of the end, when wickedness has increased and the love of most has grown cold (Matthew; 24, 12), it is essential to have an example of a radiant, confident and determined way to Christ that was demonstrated by our contemporaries... In the 20th century, the monastery walls often witnessed "the ups and downs of life" knocking at them. But inside, it was always a place of spiritual life with a flickering lamp of prayer, the labours and deeds of the brethern.
